Hanta-Map is an information and research tool for publicly available Hantavirus reports. The app bundles curated map points, source notes, statistics, timelines and background information. It does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, official authority information or individual risk decisions.

Hanta-Map does not provide user accounts. We do not operate our own login system or own user profiling. On the web, we use Vercel Web Analytics for reach measurement as described below.

The displayed information is based on publicly available and linked sources, especially official authority and specialist reports. When external links are opened, the privacy policies of the respective providers apply.

The map uses OpenFreeMap/OpenMapTiles and OpenStreetMap data. When map tiles are loaded, technically necessary data such as IP address, device/browser information and retrieval time may be processed by the respective providers.

On the web, Hanta-Map uses Vercel Web Analytics to see in aggregate which pages are visited, which referrers lead visitors to the site and which technical environments such as browsers, operating systems or approximate regions are used.

Provider is Vercel Inc. According to Vercel, Web Analytics works without cookies and stores anonymized usage data. The analysis is used only for technical and editorial improvement of the website.

Hanta-Map uses Google AdMob in Android/iOS builds and Google AdSense in the browser to show banner ads and finance running costs. Provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Depending on the region, other Google companies may be involved.

Google may process data such as IP address, app or page interactions, diagnostics, device identifiers, cookies and advertising IDs for advertising, analysis, security and fraud prevention. Personalized advertising is activated only after the required consents.

Hanta-Map currently does not provide a location feature and does not request native location permission. Hanta-Map does not operate its own backend for storing location data.

Because Hanta-Map does not operate user accounts, we do not store personal app usage data in our own database. Data processing by third-party providers such as Vercel, Google or map providers follows their respective privacy and retention rules.
