RKI SurvStat as canonical source
RKI SurvStat is the canonical source for the Germany view. The app processes the Hantavirus reporting status by district or urban district and derives map points, indicators and development views from it.
Hanta-Map deliberately uses wording such as reported cases. The display is not a diagnosis, not a warning and not a medical forecast.
How development is calculated
The app stores data states as snapshots. This makes the development of reported case counts visible without building contradictory totals from multiple sources.
- Comparison by eventId
- Previous missing snapshot is treated as 0
- Deltas can be positive, 0 or negative
- Negative changes are displayed neutrally as corrections
Frequently asked questions
Is RKI the canonical source for Germany?
Yes. For the Germany total, Hanta-Map uses the RKI reporting status. Other sources may provide context but are not added again.
Why does Hanta-Map always show data status?
The data status shows when the reporting status was retrieved or published. This matters because authority reports can be updated later.
Hanta-Map is an information and research tool for publicly available reported data. It does not replace medical advice or official authority information.
